Good-bye Summer!
Well, summer of 2006 is done for all practical intents and purposes. School has started and I have been sick for the last 3 days. So much for enjoying the last 3 day weekend of the summer. Anyways, this summer I:
1) got to spend some wonderful time with my "main squeeze" up at Prince Edward Island (sorry no pictures this time. It is extremely beautiful up there. You can trust me on that!) On the way we made several stops to see old friends (and not so old) and relatives and catch up on days gone by. It was really a wonderful trip in which we have fond memories, except we seemed to have left behind a lot of rain,( so bad in Cooperstown, that they declared a state of emergency while we were there!);
2) I was able to get a lot of stuff done around the house that I haven't had the chance to get to. It was one of the most productive summers I've had in years!:
3)I actually read a whole book through! (Kite Runner);
4)I saw both of my best friends from high school, whom I haven't seen in a long while!
5)Did not get to an Indians nor a Clippers game(yet);
6)saddened by the news of the loss of 2 wonderful people we knew when we were in Guatemala. They will both be surely missed. They were true saints and walked humbly with the Lord!:
7)Will was home for 4 weeks, which went by way too fast. I realized that this was probably the "longest" we will see him, now that he is an adult(or at least he thinks he is!). Our "other" son, Jon got married too, which brings me to the next point that;
8)we only had a handful of weddings to attend this year!!(past years we have had close to 10 or more a year!)
9) I did not loose weight and unfortunately, I put on more! I did get the bikes down however. One step at a time.
10) we sure had some beautiful sunsets this summer and saw a lot of meteorites during the meteor shower.
So good bye summer, hello fall.... one of the nicest times of the year in Ohio!
Go Bucks!
